Q. How long does it take to set up the GlobalReach system?

A. The first time, including reading the manual (and lunch), one should be
able to configure the system and be somewhat proficient, with an overview
understanding, in one day. Subsequent system setups can be accomplished
in just a few minutes.

Q. How do I get my data into GlobalReach?

A. GlobalReach provides a bidirectional 8-bit port & an 8-bit input port. The
logic levels are nominal 0-5 Volts. Data is read into the ports by simple EzScript
words such as IN0 and IN1 . Output data is likewise accomplished via OUT0 .
Other EzScript words are provided for integer math manipulation of the data
and conditional branching and looping so the user can acheive the type of
acquisition/control behavior that fits the application.

Q. How much does the remote unit weigh?

A. Approximately 1 pound.

Q. What function does the front panel LED array provide?

A. There are 8 LEDs on the front panel. These are provided as diagnostic
indicators. One is used as a power pilot indicator and the remaining seven
LEDs are used to indicate more than 26 status and error conditions. Additionally,
diagnostic emails are sent when possible and appropriate. This enables the
unit to provide a wide range of information about its operating condition.

Q. What type of modem does GlobalReach use?

A. GlobalReach uses a fully V92 compliant modem that gives the highest
performance possible for dial-up facilities.
